PIANO and THEORY
Professional keyboard artist, Dr. Dan Burr, offers practical and theory training for pianists, band accompanists, church keyboardists, and budding and advanced musicians. He teaches many styles including Classical, Popular, Gospel, Light Jazz and Country.
We offer courses for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Lessons offered include practical piano, music theory, and harmony, as well as ARRANGING for live and electronic bands and orchestras. The student will be trained in reading music, playing by ear, and developing accompaniment styles.
Dr. Burr specializes in teaching both the discipline of accurate music reading AND improvisational playing. To do this he uses original piano teaching materials, as well as well-known popular systems including the John Thompson Piano Method, Bastien Piano Basics, and Alfred’s Basic Piano Library.
